ESPEX Winter courses

ESPEX Winter Courses

ESPEX (Español para Extranjeros) is a Spanish program for foreign students created at UPB Language Center to meet the demand for Spanish learning programs offered to foreigners and to institutions abroad.

Objectives

- To develop the communicative competence in Spanish from levels A1 to C1 (CEFR).

- To expose the participants to the Colombian culture and to the socio-cultural aspects developed along the course .

hours: Course length

Includes:

Guidance and assistance regarding housing and visas
Academic tutoring (extra help with Spanish): a tutor will help you with your Spanish (available ONLY to those enrolled in the program)
Auditing regular classes: possibility of sitting in at least one of the courses from the Basic Study Cycle or the Center for Humanities (available ONLY to those enrolled in the program)
Language exchange: practice your language with Colombian students on campus (available ONLY to those enrolled in the program)

Courses

General Spanish: From level A1 to C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Colombian Literature: A course about the most outstanding writers and masterpieces of the history of Colombian literature
Recent History of Colombia: A course about the most relevant events that have taken place during the past decades in Colombia
Spanish for Business: A course about the world of finance, business and economy to reinforce the process of adaptation to the Latin-American culture
